Lots of activities today, leading up to the induction this evening of Nancy Fahey, Nikki McCray, Pamela McGee, Inge Nissen, Robin Roberts, and Dawn Staley.
About last night:
In the midst of the Fever-Sun game, Tamika Catchings caught an elbow from teammate Tammy Sutton-Brown, which required 15 stitches. But it wasn't enough to keep last year's MVP out of the game. She dropped 31 points in Indiana's loss. Catchings is as tough as they come. If any former Lady Vol represents the Pat Summitt/Tennessee spirit, it's her.
New York held off Washington.
The Dream squeaked by the Silver Stars.
Bless the hearts of the Shock - they dropped a close one to the Sky in overtime.
I will be posting my Mercury at Sparks story soon.
Race to the MVP:
Week three sees Tina Charles in the top spot, followed by Sylvia Fowles and Candace Parker.
