NCAA attendance sets record

Attendance at women's basketball games this past season set an NCAA all-time record, at 11,210,832. It's the fifth consecutive year that the spectator count has been over 11 million.

Tennessee lead all schools in attendance for the ninth straight year, averaging 14,414 fans.....which is weird considering Pat Summitt's birthday is June 14.

The Big 12 lead all conferences in attendance.

Other NCAA news:

Former USC athletic director Mike Garrett will take the same position at Langston University.

Cassie Peoples is leaving Texas. But the Longhorns have signed a point guard.

Florida Coach Amanda Butler's contract has been extended through 2017.

Arizona State will travel to New Zealand in August.

There is a new, expanded board.
