Washington coach Tia Jackson fired

Not surprising, given her coaching record for the Huskies. What's a surprise is that the UW actually had the guts to do this.

thank heavens! whew. i didn't know if the ad had the cajones to fire her. $180k contract is a drop in the bucket compared to the entire sports budget. now the fun begins. lets see who he brings in to try to turn this damned program around.

and please, no michelle marciniak nominations. :) and lets see if he loosens the purse strings a bit. the old adage is so true: you get what you pay for.
