DeNesha Stallworth is leaving Cal before she even has a place to land.
"She has a signed release and we're communicating with some schools and setting up some visits," Chris Stallworth said. "It wasn't a bad break, it just wasn't a good fit."
Stallworth, a 6-foot-3 forward from Richmond, Calif., is planning visits with Florida, Fresno State and Kansas, but is also looking into other options, according to her father.
Stallworth led Cal in scoring this season at 13.3 points per game and helped the team reach the WNIT for the second straight season.

Stallworth has a bad attitude, is slow, lazy, plays bad defense, has no good 1 on 1 moves and with the addition of Washington HS Gray and others coming in, Cal will be better. Good ridance! She's going to find the grass isn't greener on the other side and whatever school signs her is desperate and taking a real chance and will find all the bad stuff out sooner or later unless it's a lower school like Fresno that'll take just about anyone who has an ounce of talent.

Wow! Don't coaches research player attitudes and work-ethic these days before they recruit them?
College coaches recruit talent and think they can change players lousy attitudes, but it usually never happens and so there's a fall out (transfer) Stallworth is getting bad advice probably from her parents and that's the reason she's struggling. She agreed to a scholarship at Cal knowing her team would take some lumps her sophomore year, but unfortunately for her doesn't see the bright future. If she was bringing the team down or the coach just got tired of her poor attitude, then it works out for Cal. Stallworth will probably (maybe) end up at some college (maybe in a lower level where she might acheive the same stats as this year, but I doubt it. Only time will tell, but most of the time transferring doesn't work out for players at the college or high school level.
Where are you people getting the impression that she has a "bad attitude" from? Excuse me. And a lack of work ethic? I for one as a Cal fan do not look at this as "getting the monkey off our back," and I seriously doubt her teammates see it this way. All players have downsides, to be sure, and it's not the end of the world for Cal, but this is certainly NOT what many of us wanted to see happen. There are times when DeNesha is not as present as could be in some games, I'll give you that, but it's not an "attitude problem" or an unwillingness to work hard. Perhaps one could also point to a poor relationship with the coaching staff that may be the responsibility of the coaching staff, or just a case of a conflict of personality styles. And, if you read other accounts of this, DeNesha herself says that she didn't play as well as she needed to play all season.
"Bad attitude...slow, lazy"? That's certainly not the DeNesha Stallworth I've been watching for the last four years. Enough with the personal attacks; DeNesha's a bright, hard-working young woman, and while we're very sorry to see her leave Cal, my family and I wish her well.
