Carson upsets Narbonne for LA City Section championship

Narbonne was ranked first and favored to win, but Carson had something to say about that: the Colts upset the Gauchos today for the LA City Section Championship, 64-55.

Janitah Iamaleava, who is heading to Oregon in the fall, lead Carson with 25 points:

"It's a blessing because we lost to them twice during league and it feels good to finally have a good game," Iamaleava said. "This was probably our best game this season."

Added (Coach Marcel) Sanders: "Narbonne is our nemesis. Their pressure on defense always causes problems for us. We just decided we were going to settle down and play basketball."

Congrats, Colts, on your second consecutive 'ship.

Janitah came up Big, it wasnt just the points she showed most of her full skill set. Powerful Baseline Drives, Solid Post moves, Midrange jumpers, Good Defense, Hustle transition. She saved her 3 ball for the State run I guess :-).
