Today's dramas

Doesn't the NCAA season feel like a drama? That's because it is.

Once-undefeated Wisconsin-Green Bay continues its epic slide, losing tonight to Detroit - now first in the Horizon League.

Boston College upset Duke and "let's rescind a college offer at the last minute" Coach Joanne P. McCallie. And the Senator's daughter helped. Ha.

Miami snapped its own losing streak by beating 15th-ranked North Carolina.

Jacki Gemelos finally suited up and played for USC tonight, after four years and five surgeries kept her on the bench. The Trojans lost to Cal, however, 61-55.

Around the rest of the Pac-10, Arizona State needed an overtime to beat Washington, 67-61.

Stanford put UCLA away, 74-53. (Big ups, by the way, to Bruin freshman Markel Walker for being named Pac-10 player of the week).

The Oregon schools didn't play, as they're gearing up for a Saturday Civil War showdown that will be the last at MacArthur Court in Eugene. The longtime facility is scheduled for a major rebuild after this season.

Wisconsin beat Minnesota 76-74 tonight, after two overtimes.

Ohio State had to rally to get by Iowa.

#14 Georgia needed overtime to beat #21 LSU.

Tennessee's win over Arkansas gave Vol Coach Pat Summitt her 20th victory of the season - the 34th consecutive year her team has had at least that many wins. Just incredible.

Extra: The doctor comes back to the Louisville Cardinals team.

One writer forecasts the future for Rutgers, and it isn't bad.

After last night's win over Kansas State that included another thrown down dunk, Baylor's Brittney Griner now holds the Big 12 single-season block record, with 122. The previous record was 119, by Oklahoma's Courtney Paris in the 2005-2006 season.

i was soooo rooting for iowa to upset osu last night. they stayed with them and then had a couple of very costly t.o.'s at the end that really hurt. but iowa is a scrappy team who can shoot the 3. they've had a couple really tough road losses and really no big in the middle. so it was a terrific game.

i must throw in here how much prahalis irks me. egads, she's a pain in the arse. :)
