Mercedes Russell and the unpredictable Pac-12

Tennessee-bound Mercedes Russell put up a career-high 42 points tonight, shattering the Springfield High School record in the process. She was 17-20, and also pulled down 17 rebounds, dished six assists and had four blocks.

Wow.

The unpredictable Pac-12:

Washington State last lost their leading scorer, and Arizona State had been on a hot streak. But the Cougars downed the Sun Devils, 54-43.

Utah collected their first conference win only last week, yet they unraveled USC, 63-60.
