You probably already watched it, but the Sparks downed the Shock in double overtime, 90-88.
To say it was an epic game would be an understatement. The Sparks came back from a 19-point deficit to end the third quarter, and pushed the game into the extra periods. Candace Parker came close to a triple-double, with 26 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists, while Nneka Ogwumike added 21 points. Candice Wiggins lead Tulsa with 20 points, and Riquna Williams had 17.
The game wasn't without its injuries, unfortunately. Shock center Liz Cambage sustained a left ankle sprain in the fourth quarter, and didn't return to the court. In the first overtime, Sparks forward Nneka Ogwumike suffered a deep cut over her left eye during a celebration over a basket with teammates Candace Parker and Alana Beard. Ogwumike had just made her second consecutive basket and was fouled, and Parker head butted her, then backed away with a horrified expression on her face. When Ogwumike started walking toward LA's bench, it became clear why: blood streamed down her face, causing gasps from the crowd. She received treatment after the game and said she will try to avoid getting stitches.

I'll bet the LA / Shock game was entertaining to watch in person. Sorry to see Nneka get hurt like that. Hope her eye is OK and she doesn't sit have to sit out against the Sun tomorrow. Parker has got to feel horrible about it.
Tulsa is becoming more interesting. Cambage keeps getting better every game. She really looks good. If she hadn't turned her ankle I'm thinking Tulsa might have won. Tulsa's starting guards continue to impress. Seems they've officially relegated Ms. Diggins to second string. Not something most fans thought could happen a couple months ago.
