This was a whammy today: former Liberty players Barbara Farris and Taj McWilliams-Franklin will come back this year as assistant coaches, and Teresa Weatherspoon and Tamika Whitmore will be associate coaches to consult with the team during training camp and during the season. Bill Laimbeer sounds pretty serious now.
Of course this means that McWilliams-Franklin is retiring. She's played for the Lynx for the last two seasons and helped them win a championship in 2011.
