Some various

Each night the question grows louder in my mind: who will win this year's NCAA championship?? It's wide open.

NCAA news:

St. John's stays hot and upsets #8 Rutgers tonight, 62-57.

Not-so-surprising: South Florida downed #19 DePaul.

Oklahoma took down #22 Kansas State.

What did Notre Dame eat for breakfast? They beat Pitt 120-44. Utah Valley beat Walla Walla by almost the same margin: 104-46.

Ariel Massengale has broken Tennessee's freshman record for assists - and this after being out with an injury for two weeks.

Pro items:

The Mystics have hired Jennifer Gillom as assistant coach.

Tamika Catchings will chat tomorrow on SportsNation.

although (arguably) not really worthy, rutgers was ranked #7 on monday, before they played st.john's on tuesday.

kim barnes arico has st.john's looking good.will they win the big east? nope, but they could have another good year record-wise.

St. John's is fun to watch.

It's nice to have everyone back healthy. We would have made a lot more noise in the out-of-conference season if Da'Shena Stevens hadn't had offseason knee surgery... and then if Nadirah McKenith hadn't hurt her knee the game before Day was scheduled to come back.

When things get rough with them, I just remember that they had the cojones to lead Baylor at the half without Day, and they usually find a way to pull it out of their ass. (Except that Marquette game. What was that i dont even.)
