Washington Mystics change colors, logo

From Mystics HQ:

MYSTICS UNVEIL NEW COLORS

Washington Mystics Chief Operating Officer Greg Bibb announced yesterday that the team has changed the club’s official colors. During an event to introduce new general manager and head coach Trudi Lacey in front of a crowd of invited Mystics season ticket holders, the new colors were revealed in the logo at 7:00 pm. The new official Mystics colors are red, navy, silver and white and are more aligned with the Mystics’ parent company, Monumental Sports & Entertainment, overall brand. The new changes can currently be seen on the Mystics website, Facebook and Twitter accounts.

“We are excited to introduce the new color palette of the Washington Mystics,” Bibb stated. “The red, navy, silver and white scheme provides a fresh look of our organization while moving us closer in alignment with the overall Monumental Sports & Entertainment brand. We look forward to a series of announcements and unveilings around our new colors during the coming months, including new home and road uniforms as a well as a new court design.”

New logo.

Marianne Stanley will "return to the Mystics bench" next year. What does that mean? Will she be a coach or a water girl?
