First losses and upsets

What a day:

#6 Stanford upset #3 Tennessee, 76-70, giving the Vols their first loss of the season.

#7 Louisville gave #11 Colorado their first defeat, 69-62.

Rutgers knocked off previously-unbeaten #16 Georgia, 61-68.

Marist took down #20 Oklahoma, 76-69.

Other games:

#23 Syracuse escaped Saint Joseph's, 64-62.

#13 Oklahoma State outlasted Georgia Tech, to remain unbeaten, while #25 Gonzaga got by Washington State thanks to a big game by Haiden Palmer.

Hotter than July:

Indiana's rout of Cleveland State brings them to 12-0, matching the best start in program history.

8-1 Eastern Michigan continues its hot start with a 69-56 victory over Wagner.

West Virginia beat Duquesne, 88-80. They're 10-1.

UTEP recovered from their first loss the other night to best Belmont, 88-74. Kayla Thornton lead the Miners with 36 points.

#22 Iowa is 11-2.

Oregon State clobbered Clemson, 74-41. The Beavers are 8-3.
