Eye-opening day

Today's notable performances:

In #3 Tennessee's rout of Troy, 103-64, they set a school single-game rebounding record with 74. Three Lady Vols had double-doubles, and six scored in double figures. The 103 points were the most for Tennessee in about three years.

#4 Notre Dame, #7 Louisville and #8 Maryland rolled. The Irish are 9-0; the Cardinals made coach Jeff Walz happy today; the Terps have won eight straight.

Utah handed BYU their first loss in a double overtime battle: 82-74.

Sacramento State's Alle Moreno crossed the 1,000-point mark in leading her team over UC Irvine, 99-94.

Clemson's Kelly Gramlich hit a school record eight three-pointers in the Tigers' 88-46 stomping of South Carolina State.

Arizona State crushed Cal State Fullerton, 81-55, for their fifth consecutive win.

Other games:

#6 Stanford thrashed #23 Gonzaga, 73-45. The Cardinal also (finally) honored coach Tara VanDerveer for her 900th win.
