Today's game results:

#1 UConn shook off a slow start to rout Oregon, 95-51.

Not even I can believe this score: #5 Notre Dame 128, St. Francis 55.

#11 Louisville 88, Tennessee State 25.

#16 UCLA held off Saint Joseph's, 73-65.

Today's scoreboard.

Only two games tomorrow.

Forty-five games are on tap Wednesday.

Other college items:

Chiney Ogwumike thoughtfully reflects on Stanford's loss to UConn Saturday.

If Tennessee's recruiting class is going to be so strong maybe they'll put on their big girl panties and start scheduling UConn during the regular season now. My gut is that they won't due to the history with Summitt.

It's too bad. If that rivalry had been maintained over the past five years WCBB would probably be in a different place right now.

After watching UConn's underclassmen against Oregon yesterday it looks like it's going to be a long time before the Huskies are going to have to worry about UT's 2013 recruiting class. Unfortunately we may never know if they don't start playing during the regular season.

Geno's comments about Caroline Doty are classic. If anyone is wondering why his ballers have always loved and supported him this is a great example. Three ACL surgeries and he sticks with her. Boom.

Louisville had over 9,000 fans show up for an afternoon non-conference game on New Years Eve afternoon. Impressive.
