Midnight Madness

It's a longtime tradition that the second Friday in October is Midnight Madness for a lot of colleges. The season is 3-4 weeks away! I'm so excited.

News:

Notre Dame is still not over the sting of their national title loss last year. Coach Muffet McGraw expects her team to start slowly and finish strong this year.

South Carolina State is trying to take it to the next level.

Madison Ristovski is turning heads at Michigan. But the point guard position is uncertain.

Entering her senior year, Kelly Faris is a leader for UConn. Coach Geno Auriemma is excited for the season.

Minnesota's Rachel Banham is still sidelined with a blood clot.

New faces at Kent State.

Memphis has eight new players.

Marissa Kastanek starts her final season at North Carolina State.

More on the WNBA Finals:

Katie Douglas is day-to-day with a left ankle sprain, which means an uphill battle for the Fever.

Tamika Catchings blogs about last night's win.

International respect: FIBA says "Catchings does it again."

It's on to next year for the Sun.

Lynx practice report for today.

While I'm not a huge ND fan, I think they will make it to the Final 4 this Season. I don't know if they can win the Title, I am def not counting them out.

I'm curious to see what they'll bring to the table, HG1. They lost Novosel, but they've got some great freshmen. So we'll see.
