Sparks down dispassionate Lynx, 96-90

Things aren't always what they seem: despite such a strong start to their season, the Lynx felt like there was something missing all along. It's caught up with them the last two games, which they've lost, said all-star guard Seimone Augustus. Today it was Sparks 96, Lynx 90.

Game notes:

- Jacki Gemelos, who the Lynx drafted with the idea of bringing her in next year, was at today's game. She did a halftime interview with Lynx radio, and met the Lynx coaches for the first time after the game. She was all smiles.
- Camp day! Love the enthusiasm and spirit of all the young campers in attendance at today's game. Camp day is always one of my favorites.
- Andrea Riley was signed yesterday and warmed up with the team, but didn't play. Ebony Hoffman, who has been out three weeks with a sprained ankle, dressed for the first time tonight, but didn't play. Nicky Anosike came in at halftime to join the others on the bench.
- Seimone Augustus is so fluid. She makes those three-shots look like nothing at all. Just silky and effortless.
- Candace Parker is serious about going for that MVP award.

In today's other game, the hot Silver Stars defeated Indiana, 88-72. The Fever are frustrated.
