Class of 2013 Super 60; Briana Gilbreath

Mercedes Russell tops the list. Here's the top ten:

1. Mercedes Russell
2. Kaela Davis
3. Diamond DeShields
4. Tanya Reimer
5. Rebecca Greenwell
6. Linnae Harper
7. Kendall Cooper
8. Allisha Gray
9. Jannah Tucker
10. Tyler Scaife

No surprise tonight:

UConn defeated Duke, 61-45. It was the Blue Devils' lowest point total and lowest number of assists in a game this season.

Briana Gilbreath:

The USC senior guard injured her knee last Thursday in the Colorado game, and sat out Saturday's contest. Today she had the knee checked out and her ACL is NOT torn. She is day-to-day and isn't sure when she'll return to action.

*Big exhale*

Pathetic as Duke was last night, I was agog over freshman Elizabeth Williams. Yes, she got in early foul trouble; but the strength and body control she showed when rebounding will take her far.

I wasn't watching the game but was compelled to check on the score with just under five minutes to play. UConn was ahead 53-41, and they scored and one of the announcers said "YES!" Aren't they supposed to be unbiased? I was disgusted. But yeah, Williams is the real deal, Holyfield.

Gail, me too! At this point, if I hear of one more torn ACL this season, I'm going to flip.
