Baylor coach Kim Mulkey said recently that senior Melissa Jones' high pain tolerance wasn't altogether a good thing. I wonder if Lauren Jackson has the same problem. Yes, she's a pro and under contract, but she needs to take better care of her body.

its pretty obvious that lj has a high pain threshold, or an extreme ability to focus and compartmentalize.

all the potential career-ending injuries lj's played through over the years would have put a lesser person on the retired list, very early on.

that grit that lj displays has often been to her detriment. i hope melissa doesn't follow in lj's footsteps.

This is really weird:

Tuesday, the night that I posted "Jackson news," I got up from my desk and was halfway down the hall when I heard a crash. I came back in and my Lauren Jackson bobblehead had inexplicably fallen off the top of the bookcase, on to the floor, and cracked. We didn't have an earthquake, and there's no way I could have bumped her. I've had the bobblehead for almost eight years.

I hope that doesn't mean anything.
