Mercury continue to roll; Sparks get one

Tonight's results:

The league-best Mercury got their ninth consecutive victory, 72-66 over the Sky.

The Sparks won the battle of the coasts, taking down the Liberty 68-54.

The Storm rolled by the Stars, 88-67.

Liberty:

Swin Cash is happy to be in New York.

Dream:

Player spotlight: Matee Ajavon.

ESPY Awards:

Drake has a skit ready for the July 16 show for Skylar Diggins, even though she's not nominated for an award. (What?)

College news:

Ashlee Kelly has been promoted to associate head coach at Iona.

Shalon Pillow has joined Middle Tennessee as an assistant coach.

Northeastern coach Kelly Cole has brought three assistant coaches on board.

Matt Bamford is Stony Brook's new assistant coach.

South Alabama will have eight new players this year.
