Ms. Evans in Seattle is really a straight-shooter.
Re. the financials involving overseas play, methinks the league needs to soften its language on this issue. It would be easier to sell the monetary penalties put upon the players if it were called "unpaid leave" (which is essentially what it is) rather than a "fine," a pejorative term implying some form of misbehavior is being perpetrated.
As Ms. Evans points out, the league is not blameless here.
