It was at least a year in coming, but today #7 Cal upset #5 Stanford on their home court, 67-55. The win snapped the Cardinal's 81-game conference winning streak that dated back four years.

Stanford went 4:43 without scoring before Ogwumike's layin at 9:00. Clarendon immediately answered for Cal on the other end......
Stanford struggled against Cal's swarming, trapping man defense that forced 10 first-half turnovers.
The Bears also generated 14 offensive boards in the opening 20 minutes on the way to a 39-31 edge at the break despite shooting 33.3 percent to Stanford's 44 percent.
Stanford Coach Tara VanDerveer called the Bears "extremely aggressive."
One columnist says Cal looks better than Stanford right now.
I said this a few months ago: the gap between Cal and Stanford is closing. Will they swap spots in the next poll tomorrow?

#4 Duke rolled over Wake Forest, 73-44, to remain the only unbeaten Division I team - women or men - in the country.

The #9 Lady Vols survived Florida in overtime, 78-75.
#6 Kentucky routed Missouri, 69-43.
#8 Penn State created havoc to top Nebraska, 80-58.
#10 Maryland annihilated Virginia Tech, 74-45. Alyssa Thomas put up 26 points and grabbed 18 boards for the Terps.
#11 North Carolina decisively beat Georgia Tech, 79-58, thanks in part to a first-half 22-0 run.
#13 Georgia whiffed out a victory over #18 South Carolina, 42-40.
#1 Baylor cruised over #17 Kansas, 82-60, behind Brittney Griner's 33 points.
#14 UCLA overcame turnovers to upend Washington, 85-68.
#18 Florida State had no problem with #24 Miami, 86-65.
Kelsey Bone had a double-double for #20 Texas A&M, to lead them over Auburn, 78-56.
#21 Oklahoma State handled Texas, 64-52.
#23 Colorado beat Utah for the second time in a week, 56-43.
Pac-12:
USC squeaked by WSU, 61-59. This makes them undefeated in conference play, along with UCLA.
Big game overseas:
UMMC beat Spartak handily for the Russian Cup, 82-53. Candace Parker lead the victors with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
