Before the showdown between #2 Notre Dame and #9 Tennessee, Pat Summitt's banner was raised at Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville. On hand were Tamika Catchings, Chamique Holdsclaw, Candace Parker and Michelle Marciniak.

The Irish prevailed over the Lady Vols, 77-67, behind Skylar Diggins' career-high 33 points. But that was a heckuva comeback for Tennessee, and it bodes well for them being so young - and this year, so injured.
Speaking of which, prayers up for Isabelle Harrison, who went down in the first half with a knee injury, and was out for the rest of the game.

Interesting piece on Doty. Normally UConn wouldn't have a baller with her physical limitations on their club. It says a lot for Geno that he stuck with her in spite of her playing on one leg andinability to play defense. If any team with a top ten 1 or 2 goes right at her she has no chance. Can't see her playing much in the NCAAs if they are going to advance.
