Sparks 72, Storm 66

Now THAT was a season opener. It's just too bad someone had to lose that game. But it was Sparks guard Kristi Toliver who lead her team to a comeback, after they were behind by as much as 18 points. She had 25 points - 10 of which were in the fourth quarter. LA out-scored Seattle 30-10 in the final period.

Some random thoughts from me and mine:

- Ann Wauters looked crazy good for having been out of the league for a bit, and having a kid.
- The Sparks have a lot of urgency now that they didn't have before....there is no walking back to the bench anymore.
- I feel badly for Storm fans - the best fans in the WNBA, hands down. They really made it loud in Key Arena, as usual.
- I'm even more excited now for the re-match, aka the Sparks' home opener on Tuesday. Now I'm almost glad the game was moved back two days.

Tomorrow there are four games on tap: Connecticut at New York; Atlanta at Indiana; Chicago at Washington; and San Antonio at Tulsa.
