Upsets and new streaks and strange games - oh my!

Strange game today for Tennessee:

BATON ROUGE, La. – Tennessee didn’t make a 3-pointer for the first time in 423 games.

Senior guard Angie Bjorklund didn’t score a point for the first time since the opening game of the 2009 SEC tournament.

And yet the Lady Vols didn’t stumble in, of all places, LSU.

LSU got off to a quick start, but Kelley Cain and Glory Johnson stepped up for the Vols to seal the win.

Upsets:

Florida gave #22 Arkansas their first loss, 64-53.

TCU beat #15 Oklahoma, despite Whitney Hand's return.

Michigan defeated #13 Iowa - their second consecutive upset.

New streaks:

West Virginia is 14-0 after today's victory over Central Connecticut State.

Michigan State beat Illinois today to tie a school-record 11-game winning streak.

#20 Maryland defeated Saint Joseph's for their 12th consecutive win.

USC put Washington away for their sixth straight win.

Butt-whoopins and more strange games:

Ohio State whooped Bethune-Cookman to stop their three-game losing streak.

Notre Dame scored the first 36 points of the game against Southeast Missouri State in their 97-21 victory.

Fresh off their upset of UConn, #9 Stanford pounded Cal 78-45. Looking forward to seeing the rankings tomorrow.

More Pac-10 action:

Arizona edged fiesty Oregon State, 67-65.

#8 UCLA routed Washington State with a balanced scoring attack.

Arizona State beat Oregon 86-67.
