AP poll should be a hot mess tomorrow

Upsets today:

#12 Washington 82, #9 UCLA 70 Kelsey Plum led the Huskies with 39 points.

Ducks 69, #20 Cal 66. Did you see the last 18 seconds of play including the Sabrina Ionescu buzzer-beater? SportsCenter moments.

Texas A&M 77, #24 Kentucky 68.

- If you would have told me that UCLA and Cal would each lose both games this weekend, I wouldn't have believed you.

- Plum and Ionesu are special players.

- Kentucky will likely drop out of the poll now.

- Is it really only the second weekend of conference play? All this intensity makes it seem like February. The season still stretches before us.

- With these and other results, the AP top 25 poll should be a hot mess tomorrow.

Statement wins:

#4 Mississippi State 74, Tennessee 64. And the Bulldog doubters continue to fall away.

#6 Florida State 69, #13 Duke 45.

Connecticut, Baylor, Mississippi State, Maryland and Florida State seem to be in a league of their own right now.

Did that really happen? wins:

Another buzzer-beater, as Georgia's Stephanie Paul lifted Georgia over Vanderbilt, 70-68.

St. John's 70, Marquette 64.

Arizona 81, Utah 70.

North Carolina 67, Virginia 58.

Auburn 83, Ole Miss 60.

More results:

#5 South Carolina 81, Florida 62

#7 Notre Dame 67, #14 Miami 55

#8 Louisville 73, Pitt 52

Creighton 70, Georgetown 68 (OT)

Washington State 74, USC 57

Syracuse 79, Boston College 52

All scores.

Everything is fair game this year.
