WNBA season: day one

The Liberty routed the Sun, 75-54, behind Cappie Pondexter's 17 points. Rookie Chiney Ogwumike lead Connecticut with 13 points.

The Lynx downed the Mystics, 89-77, headed by Maya Moore's 34 points.

The Dream got by the Stars, 79-75. Erika de Souza lead them with 23 points.

The Sky squeaked past the Fever, 74-71. Elena Delle Donne paved the way with 23 points.

The Sparks pounded the Storm, 80-69. Candace Parker lead LA with 18 points.
