Rutgers has appointed Julie Hermann as athletic director - the first woman in the school's history. Next year she'll have to decide whether or not to renew C. Vivian Stringer's contract.

Purdue coach Sharon Versyp will be inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame.

Alabama A&M will name their new coach tomorrow.

Julie Hermann did a great job at Louisville but she's probably going into the toughest AD position in the country at Rutgers with Stringer's situation and the serious issues in the men's basketball program. Good Luck to her. Hope it works out.
