Some inspiration, some news, and a few updates

Extremely inspirational:

Big ups to New York City prep basketballer (and other sports) Jacquie Kennedy, who excels despite a learning disability.

Euro update:

So much news in this update.......Lindsay Whalen needed an ankle operation recently. (What?) So Ticha Penicheiro is filling in for her with USK Prague until she can return. In the meantime, Australian superstar Lauren Jackson is playing in Spain.

Phoenix Mercury forward DeWanna Bonner won a Euroleague MVP award last week.

Recruiting news:

This is a few days old, but I forgot to post it.....Kentucky has landed #12 Janee Thompson of Chicago. In the piece I read the other day but can't find right now, Thompson said Kentucky has recruited her longer than any other school.

DeWanna Bonner's sister Erica McCall, as well as Khadijah Sessions, are making the visitation rounds.

More on the divorce:

The Big 12 loves West Virginia so much. They say that acceptance into the league isn't contingent on the university getting an early release from the Big East.

Pat Summitt:

Coach Pat Summitt will be on "20/20" tomorrow night with Robin Roberts.

She received a letter of support from former First Lady Nancy Reagan.

College injury update:

Purdue's Drey Mingo remains positive despite her recent setback.

Chelsey Lee of Rutgers struggled with her decision to have season-ending surgery.
