Candace Parker wins both ROY and MVP

Love this one

Chillin

Pointin

Really hyphy

I sure am proud of her. She is the only other player besides Wilt Chamberlain and Wes Unseld to be both ROY and MVP in the same year. The woman is phenomenal.

Thats for posting these pics. Are they from an official source, or did a friend who was there give 'em to you?

They're from yahoo, which always has a good collection of WNBA pics. They actually took quite a few of Candace on her big day, but these four are some of my faves. If you want to see the total package, google "WNBA yahoo photos."

Lawd, I didn't even notice you posted "thats." I read it as "thanks."

Given the PM exchange we just had on that crazy message board, I think you're right.

Interesting what is being said and commented on here:

Very interesting indeed, the Kim. I don't know where to start, except maybe at the pretty comments. No doubt the hype is as large as it is because CP is good looking, not to mention straight. I also agree with the poster who said that if she were male, no one would be talking about whether or not she's a bully. I hate that double standard.

There were a lot of good candidates for MVP this year, and in a way, the controversy over MVP now is a reflection of that. This is a good thing. One Storm fan said on rebkell that it was nice to see someone besides Lisa Leslie, Sheryl Swoopes or Lauren Jackson get this award. I agree.

But the arguments that Candace wasn't the leader of the team and doesn't deserve it don't wash. Sue Bird co-leads the Storm with Jackson. Becky Hammon leads San Antonio.

As for the brawl, I'm not going to go there again.

What did you think about the comments on this blog, Kim?
