The Sparks came from behind to squeak by the Storm, 65-64. Nneka Ogwumike lead Los Angeles with 24 points.
Sparks guard Alana Beard said the win is a good sign for the team, which has struggled on the road.
“This was a huge win for us because all season long we kept trying to figure out who we are as a team," Beard said. "As ugly as this game was for us, I think it showed how special we really are and how special we could be. I was very proud of the way everyone pulled together and locked down defensively and got the win.”
The Silver Stars picked up a much-needed win by upending the Sun, 60-52. It was Connecticut's second loss in two days.
The Eastern Conference-leading Sky put away the Liberty, 80-69. It was Chicago center Sylvia Fowles' first game back from injury.
Tomorrow's game previews:
Arguably, the game of the weekend might be the Lynx at Mercury. Minnesota is trying to get their fourth win of the series.

Nice to see Nneka have a strong game. She crushed it. Those two blocks in the last 10 seconds were epic. If she can keep her game elevated LA will be strong in the playoffs.
What's wrong with Candace??? She is off, waaaay off. It's like she isn't even trying.
Don't know - maybe she'll talk about it, if there is an it.
