More on former Baylor point guard

Baylor Coach Kim Mulkey elaborated on the departure of starting point guard Kelli Griffin: "Kelli just didn’t show up at practice this week and just doesn’t want to play basketball anymore."

Weird.

In other news, Tennessee is almost at full strength, which is scary.

Next weekend in the LA area, the Cal Sparks club ball team is having its third annual Cali High School Showcase. The full schedule should be out soon. Games will be at the HAX in Hawthorne.

“I don’t know,” she replied. “Nothing happened. Kelli just didn’t show up at practice this week and doesn’t want to play basketball anymore.” ...

Kim has helped players who (under a cloud or two) left the team, tracking down programs to which they could transfer. This departure feels very different. Kim has called herself "loyal to a fault." Coach looked tired and almost apathetic at last night's exhibition game, mostly sitting. BU plays UConn on November 16.
