The other day I posted the link announcing that Oregon State University will have a prospect camp this Saturday, and those who want to try out will have to pay $25. A reader asked if this violated NCAA regulations, so I checked it out.
According to an NCAA spokeswoman, schools can hold prospect camps and charge participants however much they want. So I guess those planning to try out could be glad it's "only" $25. *shrug* But I thought that rule was interesting.
