Ironically, on the night before the Connecticut Sun waived Tamika Whitmore, there was this nice piece on the Sun's Asjha Jones, extolling the virtues of not forgetting the veterans. Hmmm.
Okay, I admit I have an ax to grind when it comes to Whitmore, but really, think about her, her career, her attitude and her inability to keep in shape and then ask me again about the kinds of veterans I should respect. :-)
I'm with Helen. Some veterans are worth forgetting. On her good days, Whitmore's an interesting and kinda fun person- at least, so I've heard. On her bad days. she's kind of a flaming bitch. And her play's just as bipolar.
I can't say I'll miss her... or her rather ardent defenders.
