Cali players shine at West Coast Jamboree

The West Coast Jamboree in Northern California wrapped up yesterday, with Brea Olinda of Brea, CA taking the championship of the top bracket, the Platinum Division. They beat Potters House Christian 78-64.

Brea's Kelsey Harris had an outstanding performance in Wednesday's game against Bishop O'Dowd, dropping 27 points.

Another top performer at the tournament was LA Washington Prep High School's Reshanda "Too Tall" Gray, who is wasting no time in blowing things up in her junior year. Too Tall put up 34 points in Tuesday's win over Fairfield.

Of course, by now everyone knows how great Reshanda is. I wouldn't be surprised if she turns into a Top 10 recruit and I'd love if she stays local at SC or UCLA. But what about Furlow? I love her game and she definitely deserves a scholarship.

I had already spoken with someone Tuesday, who told me how Kiana has been blowing up this season so far. I'm holding off a little more, though, to make sure that her stats remain consistent before I start talking about it. She's always had the talent, and I'm glad to see she's bringing it out now. Hopefully it's for good this time.

Kiana continues to flat out impress...She balled her brains out against LACES today in a barn burner. My understanding is that she's gone from receiving virtually no attention from D1 schools to receiving attention from the likes of UCLA since her performances at the TOC and West Coast Jamboree.

Here's hoping she continues at this pace. If her and Too Tall continue to play like they have the last few weeks, Washington may be able to salvage this season!
