Lynx over Shock, 83-74, despite the struggles of Maya Moore.
Diana Taurasi lead the Mercury over the Sparks, 97-81. She had 34 points. The most exciting fact of the night: 13,605 fans attended the game.
In his post-game conference, Liberty coach Bill Laimbeer said the franchise would waive Cheryl Ford because her knee isn't healing fast enough from injury.
Also in tonight's game, veteran New York guard Katie Smith became the league's second-leading all-time scorer.

I didn't see the LA / PHX game, but if the ESPN / blog / Coach Ross comments are accurate it sounds kinda like LA mailed it in after intermission. "Lack of Toughness" comments from a head coach are not good. Will be interesting to get your opinion on LA.
I see Taurasi got a T for the second straight game. She's a great baller but it would be good for WBB and the W if she could do it in a bit classier manner.
The attendance number was really good. They've been promoting heavily in PHX with all kinds of half price ticket offers on websites and in outbound email campaigns. It would be nice to know paid attendance vs. reported, but given the concerning league trends even if they're giving away lots of tickets its probably OK for the Mercury and the league right now.
That attendance performance bumps average attendance up to 7559, 102 fans higher than last season. That's after 31 games or around 15% of the schedule.
