UConn beats Louisville 93-60 to take the National Championship

UConn routed Louisville to win their eighth national title.

Freshman Breanna Stewart was Most Outstanding Player.

Most interesting Final Four quote to me was that of UConn's Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis on Breanna Stewart: "That's Stewie - she's emotionless."

1. That could make for a brilliant career.

2. I always thought KML emotionless when she was playing at Mater Dei.

UConn brought it. Hit 13 threes. If Stewart can play like she did against ND and Louisville for the next three years it seems everyone else will be playing for second place. Two All Americans and Stewart back next year. Full credit to them for overcoming their nemesis ND. They still haven't won a close game but if they can play like that they won't have to.

Full credit to Louisville also for probably the most historic underdog run in WCBB tourney history. Fell one game short but doesn't take away from what they've done.

Great tourney overall. Parity is improving. Lots of good story lines. Will be interesting to see the metrics on attendance and TV viewership.

A tribute to Robin Roberts, whose NCAA commentary was such a delight in the old days.
