Cal, UConn punch their Final Four tickets

Cal beat Georgia in overtime, 65-62, to win the Spokane regional and punch their ticket to the Final Four. Layshia Clarendon lead the Bears with 25 points, including a clutch 15-footer with 37 seconds to go. It's the school's first trip to the Four.

On the other side of the bracket, UConn pounded Kentucky, 83-53, for their Final Four ticket. Freshman Breanna Stewart lead the way. It's the sixth straight trip for the Huskies.

Don't agree with Voepel on the downside of upsets in the tourney. That's what makes it so special. That said I thought Sim's comments were very mature and introspective. I also thought that Griner's comments at the presser yesterday were pretty mature given the context. Only Mulkey ends up looking bad in this deal as well she should.

I think either Louisville or Tennessee can take Cal down. Will be interesting to see which Card team shows up tonight.
