While Kelly Kline at Full Court should be acknowledged for her idealism she should probably be careful about what she wishes for as she might just get it. The outcome may well not be what she anticipates.

Everyone should remember that the W is a business, not a social movement. The only market segment that the W has already fully penetrated is lesbian fans. Doubling down on that demographic probably won't help the league become financially successful and it has significant marketing downsides that Richie is well aware of.

As much of a goof as Richie is even she understands her recent "progressive" statements and initiatives have pushed the envelope as far as she should unless she is willing to isolate the league from a mass marketing standpoint and become a niche lesbian product. If the W could have succeeded as a lesbian focused product it would have already done so.
