Newtown, Conn. tragedy:

UConn will have a moment of silence prior to Wednesday's game to honor the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting victims. Players will also wear a patch.

The school has created a memorial scholarship to honor the victims. Coach Geno Auriemma and his wife Kathy donated $80,000 toward the scholarship.
