Meighan Simmons not only crossed the 1,000-point mark in #16 Tennessee's 101-57 annihilation of North Carolina, but she put up a career-high 33 points. Where are those Lady Vol doubters now? ESPN says Tennessee is learning on the fly.

Temple came back to defeat Syrcause, 74-67.
LSU has picked it up a bit, including today's 81-73 victory over North Carolina State.

Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis will be back in the lineup for #2 UConn tomorrow, as they face #11 Maryland. Freshman Breanna Stewart will start, and Caroline Doty will come off the bench.

Louisville's Shoni Schimmel had 11 (!) turnovers in the loss to Kentucky. She's so talented ... and so undisciplined. Maybe the "Showtime" billboards should come down?
Jeff Waltz "bet the farm" on Schimmel two years ago. If you are familiar with the history of exceptional Native American ballers then you know that Shoni's freelancing style is consistent with that tradition which is also why Waltz runs a three guard set without a true 5.
Freelance works if the off ball teammates can shoot. It also forces the opposition defense to adjust on the fly instead of being coached to deal with specific offensive sets.
Schimmel's guard running mates went 1 for 6 and 3 for 11 against KY. Somehow Shoni only shot two free throws the entire game in spite of the fact KY was effectively running a box & 1 and beating on her all night.
Still it came down to Louisville missing 3 of 6 free throws down the stretch and a three point shank from a KY reserve guard that fell through with 8 seconds left for KY to win by one.
Louisville had the second highest attendance in CWBB last year. They may well be first this year.
Rather than smart ass comments about Louisville's billboards after a one point loss between two top ten teams maybe you should forward a marketing strategy referral for your most favorite CWBB squad since it looks like the Cards are not only really really good but people actually come to the games.
