It never ceases to amaze me how year in and year out the City section seeding committee manages to screw the "city" schools in favor of the West Valley schools. The fact that Washington didn't get the one seed is despicable.

Everyone knows that when you seed a championship tournament you look at the teams last 12-15 games. While Washington lost to Taft, it was on December 10, in the preseason, outside that 12-15 game window. Since that time, Taft has lost to Chatsworth, Birmingham, and El Camino (the night before the seeding meeting). For perspective, Washington has blown El Camino out twice in the last year, and I think most would agree that both Narbonne and Carson could handle all three of those teams. Alternatively, in that 12-15 game span, Washington took one loss to the Carson team that I have already mentioned.

The "city" needs to get some more representation at that seeding meeting because its clear West Valley administrators are unfairly dominating the conversation.

Don't get me wrong, I still think Prep has a great a great shot at winning this thing, and if they don't, I'm confident that another Marine League team will. I'm just saying it would have been nice for them to get some recognition for what they've managed to do this year (with 7 players) in the form of a #1 seed!

Very true. And every year the same crap happens, people rightfully bitch about the City Section getting screwed, and nothing happens. I'm tired of it.
