- I'm a lifelong athlete and have been a women's basketball fan since 1979, when my father began taking me to college games. I fell in love with the sport and became a rabid fan - particularly of this young coach named Pat Summitt - around the 1984 Olympics. I still follow the Lady Vols like a cult member, and I love the college game. I am a fan of the SEC and Pac-10 in particular. I also like the WNBA. I was a founding fan of the Seattle Storm, but now I am a Sparks season ticket holder, and I appreciate many players throughout the league. Basketball is a year-round commitment for me. I check out club teams in the summer and in the winter, I go to as many high school and college games as possible. I've been a strength and conditioning coach for several high school basketball teams. I've lived in Oregon, Seattle and Los Angeles, and have a Bachelor's Degree in English and a Master's Degree in Physical Education. I have been a newspaper reporter and personal trainer.
