Sparks, Liberty win on day two of season

The Liberty downed the Wings, 79-71, in their home opener, and are sending a message.

Tina Charles and Sugar Rodgers each had great games for the second night in a row. Today both had 24 points a piece.

Candace Parker lead the Sparks past the Storm, 96-66, with 34 points. Rookie Breanna Stewart was the top scorer for Seattle, with 23 points.

Stewart and Tiffany Mitchell, who lead the Fever yesterday with 18 points, are the two rookies who outscored their teams in their debuts.
