Intensity on tap

Lots of intensity and some record-breaking performances today:

#5 Baylor beat DePaul, 86-72, to win the preseason WNIT. Bears coach Kim Mulkey had great things to say about the Blue Demons.

#9 Oregon State overcame a slow start to rout UC Riverside, 86-65.

#14 Duke also got past a slow start to top Army, 72-61.

Gonzaga held off West Virginia, 72-67.

#20 Northwestern raced away from Western Michigan, 86-62.

#21 Cal defeated Cal Poly, 82-57. The Bears made a record three-point shots in the win.

North Carolina escaped Yale, 70-63.

Georgia downed Georgia Tech, 78-66.

Penn got by New Hampshire, 67-60.

MTSU defeated Ole Miss, 84-75.....and Rick Insell beats son Matt Insell's team yet again.

Missouri stopped Wake Forest, 94-81. Mizzou freshman Sophie Cunningham scored a record 42 points.
