Last season we saw a lot of parity. This season we still see that, but we're also witnessing more than a few teams in that development phase. They're not newbies and they're not vets: they're right in the middle of construction. They win, then they lose, up and down like an EKG.
But it's still too early to make any conclusions.
Things that make you go hmmm:
Arizona beat Kansas, 67-52.
Tulsa topped Arkansas, 74-67.
Tulane slipped past LSU, 67-63.
Utah Valley bettered San Francisco, 94-88.
Ranked team results:
#4 Tennessee escaped Chattanooga, 59-57. Diamond DeShields stepped up for the Lady Vols with 17 points and big plays down the stretch.
#1 UConn blasted Kansas State, 97-57. Breanna Stewart eclipsed the 2,000 point mark in the process.
#3 Notre Dame annihilated Valparaiso, 110-54.
All scores, with a few games still in progress.
