With the fate of the Sparks still in the balance, one group has been forgotten: loyal season ticket holders.
The way they've been treated is a travesty. And why has the WNBA has pretended this situation isn't happening, by not acknowledging it on their website (the Sparks website has no mention of the issue whatsoever)? The league won't respond to requests for comment.
As we go into February, there is no 2014 WNBA schedule. This is because, since Sept. 30, 2013, there has been no new Collective Bargaining Agreement between the league and the Women's National Basketball Players Association. All WNBPA President Tamika Catchings can say is they haven't reached an agreement yet. The WNBA didn't respond to my request for a comment.
But hey, the location for the All-Star game has been determined.
