New head Coach Paul Westhead added Keila Whittington and Kai Felton to his staff first:

Then he brought on Dan Muscatell:

Then Friday, the Ducks signed their first new player, and she is none other than the reigning Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges southern region player of the year, Kristi Fallin.
Fallin played two seasons at Umpqua Community College for head coach Dave Stricklin, and ended her career as the program’s all-time three-point leader with 208 – crushing the previous mark of 132. The Roseburg native also finished as the program’s all-time second leading scorer, and became just the fifth player in Riverhawks history to break the 1,000-point plateau.
During her recent MVP season, Fallin led the NWAAC averaging 23.0 points per game, as Umpqua clinched the Southern Region title, and took a third-place finish at the NWAAC championships, ending the year with a 29-3 record.

Fallin's coach at Umpqua, Dave Stricklin, is understandably pleased for his athlete:

Hopefully this is the start of the upswing of the Oregon program again.
Meanwhile, to the south, Arizona has picked up their second junior college standout:

Likewise, hopefully that program is also on the rise.

Did we ever find out what happened with Courtney Clements and where she's headed?
Arizona really has been tight lipped about it.
Actually, I talked to Niya Butts a few weeks ago about the players leaving, and she said it was a mutual decision between them. She has actually been very forthcoming with me about the situation, as opposed to three other teams I asked about their transfers who refused to even respond to my emails.
Don't know where Clements is going, though.
Clements is going to San Diego State.
Pair of sophomores will be eligible in 2010-11
