Smoking hot WNBA free agency day

Lots of movement today, and much of it surprising:

Connecticut Sun: Jonquel Jones – Contract Signed
Connecticut Sun: Natisha Hiedeman – Contract Signed
Connecticut Sun: Morgan Tuck – Traded
Dallas Wings: Megan Gustafson – Contract Signed
Dallas Wings: Moriah Jefferson – Contract Signed
Dallas Wings: Imani McGee-Stafford – Contract Signed
Dallas Wings: Karlie Samuelson – Contract Signed
Dallas Wings: Morgan Bertsch – Contract Signed
New York Liberty: Layshia Clarendon – Contract Signed
Seattle Storm: Morgan Tuck – Contract Signed
Los Angeles Sparks: Marie Gulich – Traded
Los Angeles Sparks: Brittney Sykes – Traded
Atlanta Dream: Kalani Brown – Traded
Las Vegas Aces: Angel McCoughtry – Contract Signed

More on that:

Angel McCoughtry signed with the Aces. That gives the team four No. 1 picks and too many people who need the ball in their hands: Wilson, Cambage, McBride, Plum, and now McCoughtry. If they haven't yet figured out how to play Wilson and Cambage together, not sure what they're going to do with their new acquisition.

Does this enhance Las Vegas' title hopes?

What does McCoughtry's departure mean for the Dream?

The Sparks acquired Brittney Sykes and Marie Gulich from the Dream in exchange for Kalani Brown. Later, LA signed Kristi Toliver, who says her decision to leave the Mystics is all business.

Jonquel Jones has signed a multi-year contract with the Sun.

The Wings signed Moriah Jefferson and Megan Gustafson to multi-year contracts.

The Liberty signed Layshia Clarendon.

More WNBA news:

Nneka Ogwumike says you don't have to play to make a difference.

Kristi Toliver leaving the Mystics isn't expected to affect her job with the Wizards.
