An eye-opening day around the NCAA

We're only 12 days in and my......it has already been an interesting season so far

Upsets:

Destiny Pitts and Gadiva Hubbard led Minnesota past No. 19 Arizona State, 80-66.

Aari McDonald lead Arizona over No. 22 Texas, 83-58, with a school record 44 points.

Almost-upsets:

No. 3 Stanford needed an OT to put away Gonzaga, 76-70.

No. 5 Texas A&M edged Rice, 62-61.

No. 7 survived Missouri State, 80-69.

From the department of "whoa":

Georgia Tech beat Georgia in Athens for the first time, 73-40.

Northern Iowa got their first win over Iowa since 2006 in an 88-66 rout.

Ohio stopped Ohio State, 74-68.

LaSalle edged Penn State, 69-67.

Northwestern handled Duke, 63-42.

Alabama thrashed Mercer, 111-56.

Vanderbilt outpaced St. Louis, 62-50.
