Sky, Storm survive and advance

First-round results:

Diamond DeShields led the Sky over the Mercury, 105-76, with 25 points.

Jordin Canada guided the Storm past the Lynx, 84-74, with 26 points.

The Sky will play the Aces Sunday, while the Storm will face the Sparks.

Award time:

The league announced Chicago's James Wade as COY, and is the first Sky coach to do so.
